Welcome to Casa Elena Enoteca Osteria, Vallozzi’s newest concept in dining. An Osteria in Italian literally means a place where the owner “hosts” people, less formal than a ristorante or trattoria, where wine is served as the main attraction and tasty food is prepared to come along with it. The service is casual, wine is sold by the Enomatic wine machine rather than the bottle, prices are low, and the emphasis is on a steady clientele rather than on haute cuisine. Clients become regulars at Osteria because their tastes and preferences become known, and they become part of the family. The food is modest but plentiful, mostly following regional and local recipes, sometimes even served by the owner or his family members on common tables, warm and personal.
Casa Elena, named in honor of Helen Vallozzi, uses an innovative new menu and the complete re-do of the space that was our old ‘Tent Room’ to create a new, contemporary dining room that offers lighter fare as well as lighter prices. You can rely on all of the same Vallozzi’s attributes (quality ingredients, skilled culinary team and great service), just done on a smaller scale. The Casa Elena menu is available exclusively in Casa Elena and consists of personal 4-cut pizzas, artisan cheeses and meats, appetizers, salads and a $20 three course Prix Fixe menu (appetizer, entrée and chocolate).
It is in Casa Elena that you can get the best seat in the house for using our Enomatic wine machines. The room is light and airy, with hand made French doors that open and allow fresh air and ample sunlight into the room. It is ‘al fresco’ dining without the threat of inclement weather! |
